The Level 3 tasting kit contains 64 professionally prepared 50 ml wine samples, carefully selected to illustrate many of the principal grape varieties, wine regions, and wine styles covered throughout the curriculum. The kit provides an excellent opportunity to practice the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT) from the comfort of your home while progressing through the online lessons.

Examination
The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines concludes with an in-person examination administered at:

The examination consists of:
- A blind tasting assessment of two wines using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting® (SAT)
- 50 multiple-choice questions
- Four short-answer written questions
- Total examination time: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Students are expected to sit for the examination within approximately 30 days of completing the online course. Prince of Wine Academy publishes regular examination dates throughout the year and will coordinate registration with each student to ensure they are scheduled for an appropriate exam session.
Our team works closely with every student throughout the course to help ensure they are fully prepared and confident on examination day.
Entry Requirements
- Successful completion of the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is strongly recommended.
- Students without a Level 2 certificate should possess equivalent wine knowledge before enrolling.
- Students should be prepared for a significant amount of independent reading and study throughout the course.
- Students must be 21 years of age or older to enroll.
Certification
Students who successfully complete both the tasting and theory examinations will receive the internationally recognized WSET Level 3 Award in Wines certificate and lapel pin, issued by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in London.
The Level 3 Award in Wines is widely recognized throughout the international wine industry and serves as the prerequisite for admission to the prestigious WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Tuition includes a non-refundable $200 registration deposit.
- Cancellations received 15 days or more before the course start date are eligible for a refund, less the $200 non-refundable registration deposit.
- Cancellations received less than 15 days before the course start date are not eligible for a refund. Whenever possible, tuition may be transferred to a future course, subject to Prince of Wine Academy approval.
- If Prince of Wine Academy cancels a course, students may choose either a full refund or transfer their enrollment to a future course.
